Damon Point
Damon Point, a 61-acre day-use park, is the southeastern tip of the Ocean Shores Peninsula. The park consists of a one-mile-long, half-mile-wide stretch of land jutting out into the sea. Damon Point is a textbook example of accreted land, and is one of the few remaining nesting sites of the snowy plover.

Ocean City State Park
Ocean City State Park is a year-round, 170-acre camping park, featuring ocean beach, dunes and dense thickets of shore pine. Migratory birds may be viewed at the park, and beachcombing is a popular activity. Call (360) 289-3553 for more information.
Ocean Shores Interpretative Center
The Interpretative Center provides information and programming to local citizens, tourists, teacher, schools and convention groups. The conservation, stewardship and wise use of natural resources is the underlying theme of all exhibits and programming. The Center sponsored the North Beach High School Hyak Cyber Lake Project for a 1999 National Presidential Youth Award under the auspices of the Environmental Protection Agency. North Beach was one of 10 schools in the United States to receive the award for their project. Local students traveled to Washington DC to receive the award. Call (360) 289-4617 for more information.

Oyehut Wildlife Preserve
The 682-acre Oyhut Wildlife Recreation Area (sometimes spelled "Oyehut") at the south end of the peninsula is another good place for bird-watching, with trails through the marshy landscape.
